Forwards:
Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Gaborik-Richards-Zuccarello
Callahan-Boyle-Miller
Pyatt-Newberry-Kreider

Defense:
MDZ-Girardi
McDonnagh-Eminger
Strallman-Hamrlik

Lundquist will be back in goal, as he should be
.

Two things:
1. You spelled your own teams goalie name wrong
2. Generous you put Gabby back on 2nd line, we'll see if torts is feeling generous too and how long he lasts there tonight

Lots of Clowe talk out there..stay tuned...more to come....(e -1)

In all seriousness, Bob Mckenzie is reporting a 50/50 shot that Clowe is dealt today and the Rangers are on the short list...no am skate today, interesting so close to the deadline, either Torts doesn't want to give his lineup away or maybe they have someone who they are planning on scratching and want to keep it mum before any deal goes down....

Apparently, the Flyers don't intend to go quitely, in that it seems like they may be the favorite for Clowe. They would be crazy to give up Courterier in that deal though.

Why would you trade Coutourier not knowing if you can sign Clowe and to say nothing of the age difference and what you would be paying Clowe vs Coutourier...

Should Clowe come here it would probably be strictly as a rental unless he really gives the them the"jam" they need then maybe you unload Gabby and use some to play Clowe and get your RFA's signed?

Did any of you ever really like Sean Avery?

The Flyers would be crazy to trade Couturier for Clowe, even if they get Clowe to agree to an extension before the trade. I know there was some talk about that as well. Like I said, I would like Clowe on the Rangers, think he would fit in really well. But, unless that price that is being asked from the Flyers is just a smokescreen put out there by the Sharks GM so everyone else ups their offer, that's a big price to pay and what are they asking from the Rangers?

For the hot second where he was effective for us maybe. I can see it now though. Avery's comments send Rangers onto a winning streak in a strive to defend their coach. Thanks Avery!

When he first got here he really lifted the team. His second go round his act started to wear thin, took bad penlaties in that first Caps series, got benched and thats when his relationship with the coach started to go sour. I really believe that one of the main reasons Avery was finally let go was his teammates had really had enough of him.

His in your face dance with Brodeur was pretty funny.
I would have enjoyed seeing him try that with Ron Hextall.

I thought about that and read the comments and even Brook's column this morning, hey, whatever it takes right? I think it would be refreshing for someon eon the Rangers to take a stand, drop the gloves, 1st shift, get some energy pumped into that building, the season is on the line!

Hextall would have chopped his legs off...could you imagine if he did it to Billy Smith?

I don't get why people hated that so much or the roller hockeymove the guy on Ottawa did against Boston. I love the creativity and even if some stuff you go back later and put a rule against, I want to see guys try and be more creative like that.

I need to see some fire. When Newbury hit that guy from behind I was praying a bunch of Canadiens jumped in and we'd have a brawl. We need that. Something to rattle our cage. Want to see Callahan jsut run around tonight and fight lad and pump some energy into the team. I'm ok with reckless hockey in the first period just to ger some ENERGY some LIFE for this team.

If they turn this thing around and win a cup, they should retire Sean Avery's #16.

But yes, somebody step up and take charge.

Just one problem with your lineup...Newbury was sent down.

The lines should be:
Hags-Step-Nash
Kreider-Miller-Cally
Zucc-Richards-Gaborik
Asham-Boyle-Powe

That's by far the most balanced lineup we have been able to throw out there and if they don't show up tonight then they are going to have to start making some changes whether it be coaches or players

I think Powe is in as Newbury was sent to Hartford. Unless there is another roster move about to be made.

Gaborik for Clowe and a draft pick? Though this would have to happen by around 1:00pm just to get the guy here on time for tonight's game.

Question...off topic here...but why did Sather claim Hamrlik off waivers? This guy carries an over-35 contract. Though it expires at the end of the season, why bother with this? I'd rather have McIlrath have a shot. The kid's being groomed by Beukeboom in Hartford. A little nastiness on limited minutes is a HUGE upgrade to Hamrlik.

Powe should be in if for nothing else he can kill penalties.

McIlrath coming off of knee surgery, I think they are being super careful and Hamrlik is someone they can waive again if Staal comes back....
